Православная часовня на территории бывшей усадьбы Киреево г. Химки Московская область
За более чем трехсотлетнюю историю усадьбы ей владели значимые для России дворянские фамилии: Еропкины, Бутурлины, князья Долгорукие и Салтыковы, Верстовские. С середины XIX в. усадьба перешла во владение богатейших в России купцов и промышленников, известных меценатов Мамонтовых. Архитектор академик В.А. Гартман – один из основоположников русского историзма в архитектуре – проживал в усадьбе, где скончался и был похоронен вблизи алтаря церкви, как и Ф.И. Мамонтов.
В настоящее время все усадебные строения утрачены, включая церковь во имя св. прп. Сергия Радонежского, исторические захоронения осквернены. Силами местных жителей и православных активистов удалось остановить полное уничтожение усадебной территории и старинного кладбища, где предполагалось строительство мусороперерабатывающего завода.
Возведение часовни и благоустройство усадебной территории послужит делу восстановления исторической справедливости по отношению к памяти значимых для Отечества личностей: дворян-военачальников, общественных деятелей, архитекторов, художников, музыкантов, меценатов, приложивших немалые усилия для процветания России.

Orthodox chapel on the territory of the former Kireyevo estate, Khimki, Moscow region
Over the more than three hundred year history of the estate, it was owned by noble families significant for Russia: the Yeropkins, the Buturlins, the princes Dolgoruky and Saltykovs, and the Verstovskys. From the mid-19th century the estate passed into the possession of the richest merchants and industrialists in Russia, the famous patrons of the arts, the Mamontovs. Architect and academician V. A. Hartman, one of the founders of Russian historicism in architecture, lived on the estate, where he died and was buried near the altar of the church, as was F. I. Mamontov.
At present, all the estate buildings have been lost, including the church in the name of St. Sergius of Radonezh, and the historical burials have been desecrated. Thanks to the efforts of local residents and Orthodox activists, it was possible to halt the complete destruction of the estate territory and the ancient cemetery, where it was planned to build a waste recycling plant.
The construction of the chapel and the improvement of the estate territory will serve the cause of restoring historical justice in relation to the memory of people significant for the Fatherland: noble military leaders, public figures, architects, artists, musicians, and patrons of the arts who made considerable efforts for the prosperity of Russia.
